Dundee (Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa)
To supervise the section and assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure high standards of food preparation are achieved to create guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for minimising operating costs, assisting with training, reduce wastage, maintaining high standards of hygiene, carry out temperature control checks and follow grooming standards.
City & Guilds 706 1&2 or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 preferred. Food Hygiene certificates and previous experience in a similar role working in a 4* hotel restaurant environment is highly desirable. Must have completed rotations in all corners of the kitchen working with a variety of flavours and cuisines.
Must be able to lead by example, have excellent attention to detail, be self-motivated, a team player and be service orientated. Good awareness of menu processes and presentation necessary. Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential.
Full time, 40 hours per week. Shifts worked 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. Will include some split shifts.
