Edinburgh (Apex International Hotel)
To supervise your section and assist the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to ensure high standards of food preparation are achieved in order to create guest satisfaction. To ensure that a consistently high level of food preparation is provided whilst following the Company guidelines and recipes as laid out. Assist in the control of all food supplies and purchases coming in and going out of the kitchen, using date labelling processes. Maintain full knowledge of all menu items and their service and ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy at all times.
Previous experience at Commis Chef level is essential, ideally within a 4 or 5 star operation. Previous experience of catering for large scale conference and banqueting would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player but also have the initiative to work on their own. You will be able to lead by example, have excellent attention to detail and be service orientated. You will be approachable and dedicated to ensure that the highest standards are acheived.
Full time, 40 hours per week, 5 days from 7. 2 positions available, 1 permanent, 1 fixed term contract until Jan 2014
