Edinburgh (Apex European Hotel)
The role will encompass the smooth running of Metro West End Restaurant and Bar, incorporating breakfast, lunch and dinner service, room service and also catering for any conference events in the 3 conference rooms. You will also take responsibility for stock management, customer satisfaction, health and safety, recruitment, staff training and increasing sales. This role also involves covering Duty Manager shifts in the hotel.
Formal qualifications are not essential although some form of management training would be expected at this level. Experience at a management level within a stand alone restaurant operation or experience within a 4 star hotel operation would be an advantage. As would knowledge of Micros and Quadranet software systems.
You will have the initiative and drive to take the restaurant and bar forward, ensuring that the highest level of customer care is delivered, whilst also maximising revenue generation at all times. With attention to detail, you will be a creative and innovative manager who has the ability to build and develop the team and the vision to identify and capitalise on sales opportunities. You will also pride yourself on creating an exceptional dining experience for our customers.
