Description
The main responsibility of a Guest Services Porter is to ensure a high degree of customer care is given at all times. By being the first point of contact for the guest within the hotel, you will be responsible for providing a warm and friendly welcome to every guest and to escort them to and from their rooms and assisting them with luggage. You will also anticipate guest needs to enhance service quality and therefore guest satisfaction, as well as ensuring the cleanliness of internal and external public areas.
Qualifications
None required as full training will be given.
Skills
The successful candidate will have a passion for customer service and as the first point of contact for our guests you will be well presented and have high standards of appearance. You will have excellent communication skills and be approachable. You will have a good knowledge of Edinburgh's tourist attractions and locations to enable you to assist the guests with their enquiries.
Hours
Full time - 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Fixed term contract until 30.9.2014 and another until 10.3.2015
