Edinburgh (Apex Waterloo Place Hotel)
We are currently looking for a highly motivated Restaurant and Bar Manager for our Apex Waterloo Place Hotel in Edinburgh. The role will encompass the smooth running of Elliot’s Restaurant and Bar, where you will be responsible for the day to day operation, incorporating breakfast, lunch and dinner service, room service and assisting with the operational running of larger parties within the Conference and Events area. You will also take responsibility for liquor stock management, customer satisfaction, recruitment, staff training and increasing sales.
Formal qualifications are not essential although some form of management training would be expected at this level. Experience at a management level is essential. Experience within a standalone restaurant operation that caters for large volumes or experience within a 4 star hotel operation would be an advantage. As would knowledge of Micros and Quadranet software systems.
You will have the initiative and drive to take the restaurant and bar forward, ensuring that the highest level of customer care is delivered. Whilst maximising revenue generation, you will also have excellent attention to detail. You will be a creative and innovative manager who has the ability to build and develop the team. You will also have a good understanding of managing a volume operation, capitalising on sales opportunities and you will pride yourself on creating an exceptional dining experience for our customers.
