And the good news is we're incredibly near. Plane Dundee Airport is just a few minutes by car from the city centre; there are six flights a day to London City Airport. Turn right out of the airport and head directly into town. You will drive through a series of roundabouts until you reach the Dundee's main roundabout, just after you pass RRS Discovery. Take the one o'clock turn off to City Quay (avoiding the approach road for the bridge). The next smaller roundabout gives direct access to City Quay and the Hotel. (We told you it was close.) The next closest airport is Edinburgh Airport, which is around an hours drive by car. Train Dundee Rail Station is just a two minute transfer from Apex City Quay Hotel. Dundee is served by the East Coast line from London, including the overnight sleeper. The main line continues north to Aberdeen. Local trains run regularly to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Perth. Car Traffic announcement for work beginning 15 July Visitors to Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa should be aware of temporary new traffic flows as a result of the second phase of a staged opening of one of the new Tay Bridge ramps. Access to City Quay via South Victoria Dock Road will be closed for two weeks. Alternative signposted access to City Quay will be via South Marketgait, East Marketgait, East Port Roudabout and West Victoria Dock Road. Click here for further details. The hotel has a car park with 144 spaces which are free to guests. Dundee is really easy to get to by car, with motorway and dual carriageway links to the North, West and South. More relaxing tourist routes are also well sign posted, through Angus, Perthshire and Fife. The main routes are the A90 and M90 from Edinburgh and the South- or the M80, M9 and M90 from Glasgow and the West.
