DISCOVER LONDON WITH A FREE TRAVELCARD
London’s a big place with so much to see and do. So the best way to get around is to hop on and off London’s multitude of public transport and get out there to see as much of it as possible.
Once fuelled by a tasty Addendum fry up, our mission was to explore some of London’s top attractions with an uber handy London Travelcard which guests receive free when staying on weekends before 14 April at our Apex City of London Hotel. Reaping the benefits of a free Travelcard, we explored some of the world’s most visited and admired attractions.
Heading out of Apex City of London we had a 2 minute walk to Tower Hill tube station where the start of our adventure began. Just a short ride on the District Line took us to Westminster Abbey, a must-see living pageant of British history. Luckily for us our discounted London Pass got us free entry. Next for us to explore was The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and No. 10 Downing Street – all iconic, cultural attractions of London.
A bite of lunch later and we were off for an afternoon which included visits to St Paul’s Cathedral, Tate Modern and time spent exploring Covent Garden, famous for its shops, street performers, bars, restaurants, theatres and the Royal Opera.
On our way back to the hotel a stop off at the Tower of London let us discover the 900 year history of the Tower and ogle over the crown jewels.
Happily tired it was time to relax so a short walk around the corner to the hotel was well received. We relaxed in the Addendum Bar for a drink whilst deciding what to eat for flavoursome dinner. There is always so much happening in London so you will find plenty of uses for your Travelcard. If you are looking for ideas check out our London What’s On blog.
