What Presence! The Rock Photography of Harry Papadopoulos

Harry Papadopoulos was a self-taught photographer who launched his diverse photographic career by selling gig-goers photographs outside the Apollo back in the late 1970s. He then went on to become an employed photographer for Sounds magazine where he captured a number of rock stars on film. During this time Harry has photographed everyone from Blondie to The Clash, to David Bowie, to The Specials, Suicide, Penetration, Bryan Ferry, The Cramps and not to mention ABC and even Wham!

The McManus: Dundee's Art Gallery and Museum opens its doors and invites the public to view this unique exhibition giving you a rare insight in to the rock and roll life lived by so many famous performers. The photographic exhibition will also be accompanied by an exhilarating series of impromptu music events, talks and creative learning opportunities.
