• Yu Spa Rules

    Philosophy

    "Yu Spa aims to offer a relaxed yet efficient lifestyle facility to hotel residents, guests and members alike. Our primary objective is to anticipate the needs of our hotel residents, guests and members."

    Membership Cards

    Members must carry their cards with them at each visit to the club. Your valid membership card must be swiped at the Spa entrance.

    We need your card:

    • For your safety in the event of an emergency;
    • To enable you to use the Technogym equipment; and
    • To assist us with any queries regarding your membership.

    A lost card must be reported to the Spa Reception where a replacement card will be issued for a fee of £10.

    Booking policy

    • Bookings for treatments & induction can be made by telephone or in person at the Spa Reception.
    • Waiting lists are available.
    • Bookings of Day Spa Packages must be secured by a credit card.
    • Contact details are required to complete any booking.

    Cancellation Policy

    • 24hrs prior notice must be given when cancelling any treatment appointment to avoid a 50% cancellation charge.
    • Yu spa may need to cancel treatments for reasons out with our control.

    Waiting list

    • If we are unable to offer you availability for any booking, we are happy to take your contact details and inform you of any cancellation.

    Guests

    • Members are welcome to invite a guest to Yu Spa.
    • Each full individual member is entitled to 1 free Guest Pass per month
    • Guests must be aged 18yrs or over.
    • Additional Guest passes are available at Yu Spa Reception for a charge of £10.
    • Members must sign in a guest at Yu Spa Reception.
    • No guest will be permitted entry to the club without a member and the guest first signing the Yu Spa Guest Pass & Disclaimer.
    • Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
    • Guests must be accompanied by a member during their visit.
    • Guest passes cannot be issued to the same individual more than 6 times in any 1 year.
    • All guests visiting Yu Spa must read and sign the Guest Disclaimer declaring their intention to exercise.

    Water experiences

    • Swimwear must be worn in the pool and Japanese Hot Tubs at all times.
    • Please note Members must shower before entering the pool and the Japanese Hot Tubs, to remove any body products; perspiration from exercise or sauna and steam rooms. These hygiene standards enable us to maintain the pool water quality and minimise the amount of required chemicals.
    • Shaving is not permitted in the Japanese Hot Tubs.
    • Food and drink are not permitted within the pool area.
    • No running, jumping or diving is permitted in the pool area.
    • Hotel guests under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area at the specified times.
    • The Japanese Hot tubs are not suitable for person's under 18yrs.

    Heat experiences

    • Swimwear must be worn in the sauna and steam rooms at all times.
    • Shaving is not permitted in the Sauna and steam rooms.
    • We would recommend Members shower after any heat experience.
    • Members must shower after any heat experience prior to entering the pool and hot tubs.
    • Food and drink are not permitted within the Sauna, Steam and pool area.
    • Sauna & steam rooms are not suitable for person's under 18yrs.

    Changing rooms

    • Ladies and Gents Changing Rooms are provided.
    • Privacy cubicles are provided for your comfort.
    • Hairdryers are provided for your use.
    • It is not possible to use any personal electrical appliances within the club.
    • Spin dryers are provided for your swimwear. Please follow the instructions displayed for use.
    • We recommend members wear suitable spa slippers within the changing area.
    • In the interest of health and safety food and drink is not permitted within the changing rooms.
    • Sharps Disposal bin's will be available at reception for razors or sharp implements.

    Towels

    • Bath Towels are provided for your use within each locker.
    • Please return towels to the towel drop bins within the changing area.

    Lockers

    • Lockers are provided on a daily basis for the storage of your personal items.
    • Keep locker keys safe whilst visiting Yu Spa.
    • Report any misplaced or lost keys immediately to Yu Spa Reception.
    • Please remove all personal belongings after each visit.
    • Any items left in the lockers shall be removed by a member of staff.
    • Please return locker keys to reception after each visit

    Coaching and Personal Training

    • All coaching and personal training sessions are controlled by Yu Spa.
    • Personal training and coaching sessions must be booked and payments made at Yu Spa Reception.

    Fitness Suite

    • A water fountain is provided for your use.
    • Fitness Instructors are available for advice on your fitness programme and technique.
    • Remember to register your workout on the wellness system
    • Please report any faulty equipment to a member of staff

    Dress code

    • Members and guests are advised to wear appropriate clothing for the intended form of exercise.
    • Swimwear is only permitted in the heat and water experiences.

    Conduct

    • Members, hotel residents and guests shall conduct themselves in a fit and proper manner at all times during their visit to the club.
    • Yu Spa premises shall not be used for the sale of goods or any activities which conflict with the interests of the Management, Hotel or its Contractors.
    • Gaming or betting is not permitted within the Spa.

    Safety

    • In the event of a fire alarm members should proceed immediately to the nearest available emergency exit and follow directions given by staff.
    • The emergency assembly point is the car park.
    • Space blankets will be distributed to those in swimwear.
    • Please take notice of any safety warning signs displayed within the club e.g. Yellow Wet Floor Signs
    • Please report any accidents; injuries or dangerous occurrences within the club to a member of staff.
    • In the interest of health and safety food, drink, crockery, glass and cutlery are not permitted within the changing rooms, poolside or fitness suite.

    Membership suspension

    • We can allow you to suspend your membership for a minimum of 2 months.
    • An administration fee will apply for suspension.
    • We may need evidence of the reasons for suspension. Please ask for further details.
    • Members shall comply at all times with the terms and conditions of membership contained within the Yu Spa Terms & Conditions.

    Membership termination

    • In the event of you wishing to terminate your membership we only require you to have been a member for a minimum of 3 months.
    • We do require 1 month's written notice of your intention to terminate your membership.

    Car Parking

    • Yu Spa Members are entitled to park within the hotel car park the club.
    • Tokens to exit the car park are available from the Spa Reception.
    • Members are only permitted to leave their vehicles in the car park whilst they visit Yu Spa.
    • Members cannot leave their vehicles overnight.

    Opening Hours

    • Monday-Friday 7am - 10pm (Last entry 9:30pm)
    • Saturday & Sunday 8am - 9pm (Last entry 8:30pm)

    Children

    • Children are permitted to use the pool and facilities between the hours of 9am - 11am and 2pm - 6.30pm Mon - Friday (2pm - 7.30pm) Sat & Sun.
    • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    Liability

    • Apex's liability for death, personal injury or damage to a member's, hotel resident's or guest's property is limited to loss or damage incurred as a result of the negligence of Apex, its staff or agents. For the avoidance of doubt, Apex shall not be liable in contract, negligence, and breach of duty or otherwise by reason of or in connection with this Agreement or in any other circumstances for any indirect or consequential loss.
