Located in Somerset south west England, Bath is easy to reach from around the UK and beyond. The city is just 90 minutes from London by train which acts as a gateway with multiple airports. It’s also just 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol Airport which serves domestic and international flights.
Apex City of Bath Hotel is conveniently located on James Street West, in the heart of the city. The hotel is within walking distance of Bath Spa train station and all the main attractions. Once you arrive in Bath, the best way to get around is by walking - everything is close by.

The closest airport to Bath is Bristol Airport, just 18 miles away. If you land here, you can catch a taxi to the hotel which takes about 40 minutes.
London Heathrow is the UK’s largest airport and serves destinations worldwide. You can land here and travel to Bath by train. Head to London Paddington on the Heathrow Express, the train journey from here is just 90 minutes to Bath. If you’d prefer to travel by car, you’ll have just a 90 minute drive.
Bath Spa train station is the closest to the hotel, just a short ten minute walk. There are regular services direct from London Paddington and London Waterloo to Bath Spa with an average journey time of 90 minutes. If you’re travelling from nearby Bristol, you can catch a direct train to Bath Spa in just 15 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads train station. Once you arrive at the station, it’s just a short walk to the hotel past SouthGate shopping centre onto St James’s Parade and then James Street West.
Bath is easily accessible by bus with regular services by National Express from other UK cities. Frequent services run from London Victoria, London Heathrow and London Gatwick to Bath bus station. The bus station is only a ten minute walk from the hotel.
If you’re arriving by private coach, the hotel has a drop off point outside.
The hotel has a dedicated taxi drop off point outside, just give your driver the hotel address, James Street West, Bath BA1 2DA. Taxi is the best option if you’ve arrived locally.
As part of the planning permission for Apex City of Bath Hotel one of the stipulations was that there will be no parking spaces for the hotel. In line with Bath & North East Somerset Council’s strategy we’re promoting the use of public transport to travel to Bath as well as the Park & Ride services. There will be three accessible parking spaces just off James Street West. Additionally, the nearest car parks are Kingsmead Square, SouthGate Shopping Centre and Charlotte Street, all within a few minutes’ walk. Charges apply so plan ahead.
