For its inaugural exhibition, the V&A Dundee museum will explore the world of ocean liners. The exhibit, ‘Ocean Liners: Speed and Style’, will display more than 250 objects from some of the world’s greatest ocean liners, including artefacts from the legendary Titanic, Normandie, the Queen Mary and the Canberra, offering a glimpse into the what life was like on board these magnificent ships.
Kicking off the V&A celebrations is the two-day 3D Festival, beginning Friday 14 September. There, you can check out legendary Scottish rockers Primal Scream, Dundee’s own Be Charlotte, and BBC Radio 1 Brit List artist, Lewis Capaldi.
Packed with musical performances, a choral collaboration and hands-on workshops, the 3D Festival has something for everyone. Festival goers will even get the chance to become an artist themselves by drawing their own comic book ending with a special limited edition souvenir handout from Beano Studios.
