The americas with simon reeve
In this 5 part documentary series, Simon Reeves takes on his biggest adventure yet, travelling the length of the Americas. To be expected with this travel writer, it is much more than an inspirational travel show. Reeve touches on the effects of climate change, and the ever changing landscape he is travelling across. There are still plenty of spectacular scenic views, plus lots of food for thought.

Celebrity Chef David Chang takes us on a mouth-watering journey across the globe, in celebration of excellent food and drink. Each episode delves into the history of the cuisine he is exploring, and looks at how it has evolved and changed over time. THE TRIP
A vintage episode of The Trip, first aired in 2020, will have your planning your next UK break, as Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon explore the Lake District by way of the Yorkshire Dales. Less of a travel show, and more like overhearing a conversation amongst two friends, these two veteran comedians let you relax and soak up the beauty of the Lakes, whilst enjoying a laugh at their easy-going banter.

It comes as no surprise that this blockbuster movie, based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s seminal memoire, has found new fans amidst the past year, as often in times of turmoil we look for a higher, guiding purpose. It is a gentle, thoughtful, spiritual drama, based on the story of Gilbert’s one-year journey to Italy, India and Indonesia in search of love and happiness.

THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL
You might have caught this one doing the re-runs over the festive season, and it hits the spot every time. It is a joyful, witty comedy about a group of retired Brits who find friendship, and an unexpected life, in India. Dev Patel stars as the chaotic and charming manager of the retiree’s new home. The costumes, scenery and settings will transport you to another place, and the star studding cast will have you smiling from ear to ear.
