How to make the most of a spring stay in Dundee

If you're guaranteed good weather anywhere in spring, you'll find it in Sunny Dundee - aptly named due to the fact it's the only south-facing city in Scotland. Whether you're visiting for a night, a weekend or a longer break, you'll never be short of things to do in this cool coastal spot and it's the perfect place to spend a fun spring stay.

Explore V&A Dundee's latest exhibit

This spring, the showstopping Mary Quant exhibit is coming to V&A Dundee after a successful run at V&A in London. The iconic '60s fashion designer, who's famous for creating the miniskirt, will be celebrated in this hotly anticipated exhibition. Visitors will get to explore some of Quant's signature collections whilst learning about her life and how she shaped the world of fashion design. Find out more about the exhibit.

Visit Broughty Ferry

The quaint seaside village of Broughty Ferry is situated just four miles east of Dundee and is one of the country's favourite waterfront destinations. Full of restaurants, cafes and quirky shops, you'll never get tired of exploring this coastal gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Dundee city centre. Find out more.

Take to the water at Foxlake Dundee

If you fancy injecting some action into your spring stay, look no further than Foxlake Dundee. Situated right outside our Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa, this exciting water sports facility will allow you to unleash your adventurous side and try your hand at stand up paddleboarding and wakeboarding. It even boasts an inflatable aqua park where you can take on obstacles and slides. Foxlake is open six days a week in spring - find out more about Dundee's wildest adventure!

Go stargazing at Mills Observatory

Explore the stars at the UK's first purpose-built public observatory, located just a short drive from Dundee city centre. The fully computerised telescope at the observatory can detect 30,000 objects in the sky, making it the perfect place to check out your favourite planets. Once you've explored space, you can take in a planetarium show and delve even deeper into the galaxy. Find out more about Mills Observatory.

Take a day trip to St Andrews

Make the most of Dundee's fantastic location and take the opportunity to explore another corner of scenic Scotland, situated just a 30-minute drive from our Dundee hotel. The beautiful village of St Andrews is most famous for being the home of golf and also boasts one of the world's oldest universities. Walk the very same streets Prince William walked when he was a student and take in the breathtaking scenery. When you're finished exploring, you can retreat to Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa and sink into our dreamy beds, worthy of royalty (if we do say so ourselves).

We hope you'll join us for a spring stay in Dundee soon!
