5 Days in London

DAY 1 – SETTLING IN

The first day is all about making yourself at home. All of our London hotels are situated near several transport links, enabling you to fast-track all over the city at the swipe of a card. After your seamless check-in, you’ll be desperate to step out into the Big Smoke. If you are staying at our Temple Court Hotel, why not take a wander to Covent Garden before getting a taste of the London lifestyle at The Amicable Society of Lazy Ballerinas wine bar. If you’re staying in our London Wall Hotel or City of London Hotel, shake off your travel tiredness by strolling down to the River Thames, and see the city’s spectacular skyline for yourself before toasting to your first night in London at The Lampery. Enjoy sleeping in style and prepare yourself for an adventure in one of the world’s largest, most fun-filled cities.

DAY 2 – NEARBY NECCESITIES

Visit The Tower of London to kickstart your day and cast your eye on the city’s very own, unique Crown Jewels before taking a trip over the Thames to one of the most infamous and oldest food markets in the UK, Borough Market. Filled with endless food choices, this stop is perfect for an easy lunch but you can also opt in for a food tour like this one to gain insight into the market’s history and to sample a wide selection of local dishes. From here, you can admire London’s iconic bridges, Tower Bridge and London Bridge… if it has not fallen down. If it’s the views for you, buy a ticket to the highest public viewing gallery in London in the tallest building in Western Europe, The Shard, or if 87 floors is just a little too high, stop off at Sky Garden’s observation deck, just 35 stories high. Your trip would not be complete without buying tickets to a London West End show in one of several theatres in the district.

DAY 3 – WANDER THROUGH WESTMINSTER

Explore the geographical, cultural and political centre of the city by taking a hop on hop off bus tour, or a walking tour, to get a glimpse of or visit up close some of London’s most iconic sights including Big Ben and the London Eye. Visit Parliament square, surrounded by famous buildings, including Westminster Abbey, one of the most impressive, gothic style churches in the country, where you can walk in the footsteps of Princess Diana. Grab a coffee and see the pelicans at feeding time as you make your way through St. James’s Park, where you can embrace the calmness of the city before reaching the ultimate landmark, Buckingham Palace. Have a roaring time visiting the famous stone lion statues in Trafalgar square or pop by and see the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street before satisfying your stomach in one of the many tasty restaurants in the vicinity.

DAY 4 – FUTHER AFIELD

Today you’re travelling a little further to explore the cities hidden gems, Chelsea and Notting Hill.  If you enjoy the lavish life, this day is dedicated to you. Hit the highstreet in one of London’s most fashionable neighbourhoods and visit King’s Road lined with over 300 stores, exquisite restaurants and coffee shops or eat in one of the town’s brunch hotspots, Bluebird Cafe. Looking for a little more culture? See some inspiring art in the city’s hub of artistry and visit Saatichi Gallery. If you haven’t already shopped til’ you’ve dropped, get yourself over to Notting Hill, accessible via a number of bus routes and subway stations, where you can find everything, including maybe even the love of your life… For the mega fans out there, take the Notting Hill Film Tour and if films are your thing, visit the Electric Cinema on Portobello Road, known for one of the most luxurious cinematic experiences with bar side table service. Finally, pay a visit to one of the best of it’s kind, Portobello Market which subsequently provides one of the most instagramable backdrops throughout the whole of the city.

DAY 5 – CHECKING OUT

You’ll want to enjoy your final hotel lie in, and no doubt another delicious breakfast, but if your travel plans allow, there’s still time to explore one last bit of the city. Head to Camden to see one final panoramic view of the city from Primrose Hill, or take the kids to London Zoo before catching a bite for the road in one of many fine eateries in Camden Lock Market.
