Apex Hotels successfully bid on two magnificent Scottie Dog sculptures at the Scotties by the Sea charity auction and raised over £12,000 for one of our supported charities, Maggie’s Dundee. The biggest of the two dogs, Tartanium, is striking to look at and has a distinctive Tunnock’s Tea Cake red and blue tartan design that was created by fife artist Robert Mach, brother of famous sculptor David Mach.
Tartanium’s new home will be Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa and, to celebrate, the team be taking him on walkies around Dundee.
We’re inviting Dundonians to come and take a selfie with Tartanium on the 31st January and 1st February to get some goodies and be in with a chance to win a £500 voucher!
Tunnock’s have kindly agreed to give us 300 teacakes to give out to fans and the team at Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa will have some extra vouchers to hand out too as well as two chances to win big.
The Dundee walk will also help launch the fantastic new offer at Quayside Bar & Grill – 2for1 on all mains from now until the 18th February.
We’ll be taking Tartanium to some iconic locations in the City of Discovery including the V&A, Cairn Hall and, of course, Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa.
