Apex Hotels has achieved a 1* Accreditation award from Best Companies, the specialists whose recognition programme is the standard for workplace engagement, in acknowledgement of their outstanding employee engagement levels.
Headquartered in Edinburgh, with 10 properties spread throughout the UK, the group scored strongly across Best Companies’ 8 Factors of Engagement scoring framework, including My Team, Fair Deal, Leadership and Wellbeing.
680 staff across the business completed the Best Companies survey, which measures how engaged people are at work and how they feel about their employer. The results highlighted the Apex Hotels’ executive team roadshow, employee benefits, friendly working environment, emphasis on teamwork and the employee assistance programme amongst others as contributing towards engagement.
Danielle Ramsay, Head of Resourcing & Engagement, said: “We are thrilled to achieve this 1* Accreditation from Best Companies. Here at Apex Hotels, we recognise the importance of our staff as an integral asset to the business – and that engaged employees spread positivity throughout every aspect of an organisation. We have implemented numerous programmes across the business to ensure our workforce is engaged and will continue to grow and adapt these over the next year to further benefit our employees.”
Jonathan Austin, CEO and Founder of Best Companies, said: “I would like to congratulate Apex Hotels on its achievement. Best Companies has been producing the accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like Apex Hotels have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”
To celebrate Best Companies Day on 28th February, Apex Hotels will be providing Best Companies logo cupcakes to staff as well as to guests who buy a coffee as a way to say thank you for their continued support of the business.
